The purpose of the research “Socio-economic measures in the catering sector in times of pandemic” by the author Iva Mihajlovska is to identify and assess the appropriateness of measures adopted by the Government of the RNM during the state of emergency in COVID-19 pandemic conditions on the catering and touristic sector. The findings of the research aimed to increase the quantity of information, improve the capacity of the civic organizations to participate in monitoring socio-economic policies in crisis conditions caused by the COVID-19 virus and strengthen and promote structural dialogue between institutions and the civic sector.
Special focus within the framework of the research was given to the transparency of measures adopted for the catering-touristic sector, as well as the relevance of the adopted measures and their effect. The research team measured the level of participation of civic organizations, unions, and the business sector in the development of socio-economic policies in crisis conditions.

The purpose of the case study: “The catering sector in the municipality Centar and the COVID-19 crisis – Skopje region” by the author Diana Milenkovska is to assess the effects and the absorption of the governmental COVID-19-related assistance measures for the catering sector as one of the most affected and key sectors of the economy, in the period March-December 2020 in the Municipality Centar, Skopje. Eight (8) in-depth interviews were conducted with entrepreneurs (owners/ managers of coffee shops and restaurants) on the territory of the Municipality Centar by using a previously developed discussion guide.
