Today, 22 March 2021, the General Secretariat of the Government announced an open call for selection of 16 representatives from associations and foundations to the Council for Cooperation with and Development of the Civil Society under new three-year mandate (2021-2024). CSOs registered pursuant to the Law on Associations and Foundations are eligible to nominate candidates for council members in areas such as: civil society development; democracy and the rule of law; human rights promotion and protection and antidiscrimination; economic and sustainable development; science; education and lifelong learning; youth; social protection and child protection; protection of marginalized people; gender equality; health protection; agriculture and rural development; culture; media and information society; environmental protection; sport; EU integration and policies.

Deadline for submission of applications is 5 April 2021.

Under its current there-year mandate (16 April 2018 – 15 March 2021), the Council held 30 sessions, initiated various processes, and impacted development of government policies for creation of enabling environment and civil society development.
