The 6th PMF Policy Dialogue was held today, 19 March 2021, together with a session of SWG Public Finance Management.
Introductory remarks were delivered by the Minister of Finance, Fatmir Besimi, and the Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation in the Republic of North Macedonia, Nicola Bertolini.
SWG members, as representatives from state institutions involved in implementation of 2018-2021 Public Finance Management Reform Programme, presented the Report on Implementation of the Programme’s Action Plan for the period January-December 2020, followed by overview of activities anticipates under the 2021 Action Plan.
Otherwise, this is the last implementation year for the current Public Finance Management Reform Programme and, in parallel to implementation of activities anticipated under the current programme, actions will be taken to design the new programme. In particular, this programme is a strategic response to challenges within the system of public finance management, aimed to improve efficiency and effectiveness of public spending.
