The Secretariat for European Affairs, in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Self-Government, initiated preparatory activities for programming the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme between Republic of North Macedonia and Republic of Albania 2021-2027 under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA III).
One activity from this programming process concerns development of SWOT analysis for the border region, as baseline for further development of the programme document’s contents. This analysis will be developed in close consultations with all stakeholders and will be based on needs and priorities, as well as the capacity of potential beneficiaries in the border region (Polog, Southwest and Pelagonija Region).
A questionnaire was developed for that purpose and is intended to collect key information needed for development of the analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that might impact the region’s socio-economic development in terms of cross-border cooperation.
